Andrias J. WhiteAndrias J. White is a senior pursuing a B.S. in Tourism and Events Management from the School of Recreation, Health, and Tourism. A native of Chester, Virginia, she is actively involved in a variety of activities and organizations, both on and off campus. To enhance her coursework, Andrias has worked in the Office of Student Involvement, Program Board, University Information, and the Mason Inn. She has also served as a representative on the Black Heritage Month, Homecoming, and Welcome Week committees. Currently, Andrias works in the Office of Admissions as the Event Coordinator Assistant, planning and facilitating recruitment events for prospective students and their families. Andrias is an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, the Anointed Voices of Unity Gospel Choir, the Akoma Circle Mentorship Group, Pi Sigma Epsilon Sales, Marketing, and Management Fraternity, and the Professional Convention Management Association. She is also a member of the Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society, Lambda Sigma Honor Society, and the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. Andrias also founded the George Mason chapter of St. Jude's Up 'til Dawn. She has received several university honors and awards including Most Inspirational Female (2011), the Academic Excellence Award (2011), Most Innovative Program of the Year (2010) for her Diamonds in the Rough Manhood Development Program, and Program Board Director of the Year (2009). Off campus, Andrias is Vice President of Event Management for Hamm Camp Life Skills and Basketball Pro Camp. This is a free camp for the youth of Harrisburg, PA. She also remains active at her home church, enjoying spending as much time as possible with her family. As a Student Representative to the Board of Visitors, Andrias looks forward to uniting the needs of the students with those of the Board of Visitors. |
