C. Gibson Dunn

C. Gibson Dunn, M.D., has been a member of the psychiatric profession for over 20 years. Dunn has worked both in the private and public sectors. His affiliations have included visiting fellow in bioethics with Georgetown University's Kennedy Institute of Ethics, 1997-1998; consultant in Psychiatry, Fairfax County Alcohol and Drug Services 1995-2006; staff member and, later, director of Springwood Psychiatric Institute, 1977 – 1995; partner and, later, chairman of Metropolitan Psychiatric Group, 1977 - 1994; and assistant professor of psychiatry, and director of inpatient psychiatric services with the Medical College of Virginia, 1976 – 1977.

A resident of Great Falls, Virginia, Dunn earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Virginia, 1969 and his medical degree at Harvard Medical School, 1973.
