D. Jean Wu

D. Jean Wu serves as the principal of The Tilden Group, a management consulting firm.  She is also the founder of Integrated Management Services, Inc., (IMSI), an information technology company with specialized capabilities in information security and infrastructure security.  IMS was acquired by Anteon in 2004.  Wu had previously served as a manager with Irving Burton Associates and staff assistant to the Deputy Secretary, US Department of Transportation.

Wu grew up in Taiwan and came to the United States at the age of 14. She earned her undergraduate degree in marketing at the University of Virginia and her master’s degree in information science at George Mason University. She also attended the Amos Tuck School of Business Administration at Dartmouth College.

In addition to her graduate work at Mason, Wu has been actively involved with the university since 1998. She serves as secretary on the Board of Trustees of the George Mason Foundation and is a member of the university’s Diversity Advisory Board.

Wu has been a long-standing supporter of charitable and educational organizations in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, including Close UP Foundation, the Virginia Hospital Center, Heads Up, Boys and Girls Club of Greater Washington, and Best Friends Foundation.

Past honors include the Immigrant Achievement Award from the American Immigration Law Foundation and the Virginia Small Business Person of the Year Award by the US Small Business Administration.
